I`ve applied your patch two days ago and problem was fixed completely.
Very respect for this patch, migration+console problem was a quite
annoying.

This looks similar to a bug that I've fixed (and also caused :) ). I'd say
it should be fixed in the current version, but I'll definitely try to
reproduce it in your scenario just to be sure.
