Thanks for the reply. Did you compile libvirt yourself, or how did you install it? If so,
what build environment settings did you use in order to integrate upstart and other
Ubuntu-specific support? My understanding is that building libvirt from source will mean
essentially replacing the libvirt-bin and libvirt0 packages - correct?

Andrew we use libvirt 1.0.0 on 12.04 Ubuntu. I assume it came from
libvirt.
