[Libvir] PATCH: Compatability with Xen 3.2.0

In Xen 3.2.0 the physinfo hypercall was changed to remove the field 'sockets_per_node' and add in 'nr_cpus'. We use the sockets_per_node field in livirt for the virNodeInfo struct :-( This patch re-calculates its value in terms of 'nr_cpus / (nodes*cores*threads)' which is how older Xen used to figure it out. [Libvir] [PATCH] Enhance virBuffer code

Apart from a couple of minor fixes, this adds the following useful functions to the virBuffer implementation: virBufferAddChar: Append a single character to the buffer. virBufferURIEncodeString: Append a %-encoded string to the buffer (eg. virBufferEscapeString and the similar function in libxml2). Hi, I've more quries on libvirt apis: 1. Is there any API in libvirt that gives me the uptime of the guets. 2. Can I know how many physical CPUs are dedicated to a VM or if they are shared. 3. How do I know the logical cpu consumption of the guests( from dom0 using libvirt obviously). 4. Can get the ip address of each of the guests with any of the APIs Thanks, Vadiraj

I think there is a unnecessary code for setting cpus parameter at xenXMParseXMLToConfig, since the cpus parameter is already set on the upper code. Because of this, converted cpus string will not be used. So, can I remove it ? Regards, Saori Fukuta

The detach-disk command does not work for tap device, since xenStoreDomainGetDiskID is always searching for vbd device from XenStore. c.f. [Libvir] Disks and NICs

Hi, Libvirt provides the disk and Network interfaces statistics for each of the guests configured. Is there a api which tells me how many disk and network interface are configured per guest so that can make the corrosponding calls to get the statistics of each the disk/nic (like virDomainBlockStats and virDomainInterfaceStats). Hi guys, I'd like to remove the PYTHON_SUBDIR parameter, but (of course) still allow configure/build to proceed even when python-devel is not installed. Why? Because with the current code, I was able to build and _try_ to test a broken distribution tarball. Here's how it happened: While I had temporarily removed python-devel, I configured/built libvirt, ran "make check" to ensure that everything was ok, created a tarball to test on a remote RHEL5 system, and copied it over. But on the RHEL5 system, configure failed due to lack of python/Makefile.in. The entire python/ directory was missing. With the following change, I've confirmed it works as well as before (on both rawhide and RHEL5), yet can't cause the trouble I described: Always build in python/ subdir. * configure.in (PYTHON_SUBDIR): Don't set. Remove all uses. * Makefile.am (SUBDIRS): Hard-code "python" here.
