Ah, I see now. I started reading through patch 4 several hours after
reviewing patch 3, and was struck with a strong sense of deja-vu
(because they are changing nearly the same things), noticed that the log
message *and* the change statistics were identical, so jumped to a
conclusion without doing a line-by-line comparison.
