Since you always ask for this, I am curious as to which email
client/UI you use? AFAIK, any modern email UI should show you the
mails with the same title as a thread where it should be obvious which
patch is the latest version.
By default, Thunderbird only threads mails that properly use In-Reply-To
headers. Identical subjects do not get threaded together merely because
of the identical naming. And 'git send-email' also has the
--in-reply-to=msgid option to force your patch to be threaded to an
existing message.
