I quite like it, so from me, I'd say ACK with some fixes (the things I
pointed out), but I'll leave it to you whether you want v2 or wait for
more people to express their opinions.
I think your ACK is enough, and I'd rather avoid keeping this
on the list longer than necessary. If there's any detail that
needs to be smoothed out we can deal with it after merge.
