[Libvir] schedifo for qemu guests.

Hey. I'm using Fedora 8 and the included libvirt and virt-manager packages. I just noticed that it is not possible so set scheddunling for qemu guests. Could this be implemented by setting the guests nice value, so instances are handled different by Linux's prcoess scheduler? - fabian

yes I though about this on Monday, unfortunately except using the nice value I doubt there is much to do there, but that could still be useful in some cases. Would you have time/expertise to try to do this ? yes. i've got at least some time and will look into this. not really experienced, but suppose there are some good examples for using getpriority and setpriority. - fabian

Yes, that is the intended implementation - just set schedular params for the QEMU process. Just needs someone motivated to write it :-) Dan. -- |=- Red Hat, Engineering, Emerging Technologies, Boston. +1 978 392 2496 -=| |=- Perl modules: http://search.cpan.org/~danberr/ -=| |=- Projects: http://freshmeat.net/~danielpb/ -=| |=- GnuPG: 7D3B9505 F3C9 553F A1DA 4AC2 5648 23C1 B3DF F742 7D3B 9505 -=|
