I guess I assumed that libvirt-cim was highly dependent on the underlying libvirt version,
as in it would not build/install with the wrong version of libvirt.
From what you are saying there is no hard dependency, though I suspect
there will be some functionality wholes in libvirt-cim on older versions of libvirt. This
is what I needed to know.

Looks like it's been awhile since we've done a Xen test run. I don't
have results from the latest libvirt-cim release.
However, I just checked out sources and did a build. Looks like the is
a
compile issue, which I've submitted a patch for. I also just sent a
test run using libvirt 0.3.3 and paravirt Xen. There's more failures
than I'd like to see, but I think some of them might be test case
issues.
What issue are you're hitting? Is this an issue with paravirt Xen or
full virt Xen?
