Hi Raghu, Welcome to libvirt-cim. Best way to learn how to use libvirt-cim is to create a VM using cimtest. You can download cimtest snapshot from http://libvirt.org/git/?p=cimtest.git;a=tree. Go to cimtest directory and run the following command - CIM_NS=root/virt CIM_USER=<<YOUR USERNAME>> CIM_PASS=<<YOUR PASSWORD>> ./runtests libvirt-cim -i localhost -c -d -v KVM -g ComputerSystem -t 06_paused_active_suspend.py Replace <<YOUR USERNAME>> and <<YOUR PASSWORD>> with your username and password. You may have some missing packages that cimtest needs. Once you have them installed, you can follow the test to learn how VMs are created. There are lot more tests under cimtest which do more advanced things like adding disk/memeory/CPU to existing VM.
