Hi,
You're right.
I got valuable answers from ovirt people.
As the .xml config file is not persisted on the host, solution is to add a vdsm hook in
the host in order to
modify on the fly contents of the .xml config file to add my channel device before the vm
is started.
Remains to debug my hook and to check whether , when migrating the Guest , this hook is
also called.
Thanks for help.
Regards,
J.P.

Hi,
1) is it enough to add a hook.py in /usr/libexec/vdsm/hooks/before_vm_start directory ,
and then shut down and reboot a guest to
see this hook.py invoked ?
Since this is vdsm-related, I would ask on their list. Or just try it and you'll
see...
2) when running manually my hook.py, I got following error :
ImportError: No module named hooking
Do I have to install anything to solve this issue ?
Thanks for help.
