You'll need to provide the precise commands that you're running. You need to use a URL with the -a option, as described here: http://libguestfs.org/guestfish.1.html#adding-remote-storage

What precise version? RHEL 7.1 and 7.2 both had 1.28.1-1, but with different release numbers.
