File a bug against ubuntu that they should upgrade to a newer libvirt, or at least backport the patch for this issue. This bug was fixed in commit v0.9.1-187-gb3918fa.
Scratch that - I misread your bug report, and thought your host was Ubuntu. The problem has to be fixed in the host, not the guest.
