Have you tested this patch? Does it work? For me it only partially solved the problem - I still can't get FreeBSD to install reliably.
This issue also effects Windows FV.
Now that is interesting. Because I could only reproduce this on 32 bit FreeBSD full-virt, it wasn't really top priority to fix this. However if it affects Windows, then that is a different matter. Which version of Windows exhibits the problem? Actually, looking back at my notes the problem wasn't the install, but after booting, FreeBSD would still give lots of DMA errors. Anyway, I don't think it's a proper fix for the problem. No plans at this time - it never fully resolved the problems we saw with the FreeBSD guests. BTW there is a fedora-xen mailing list for Fedora related Xen question. If you have any other reproducable scanarios in which this problem occurrs please do file a BZ ticket to report them, because we'd want to track whether they affect other Xen versions too in particular RHEL-5.
