Hopefuly, I'm not late for the party. Since you're refreshing this, can you please do this for qemu v7.1.0-1429-g7208429223 or newer? It has something I have patches for (thread-context object).
I was actually updating my system so that I could also get a snapshot of the libblkio stuff that was added recently. I'll push an updated version soon.
