I've tried to test it :
- uninstalled debian package libvirt-bin (running ubuntu server 8.04 LTS)
no idea what libvirt-bin includes or not
- checked-out CVS version - ./autobuild.sh --with-xen=no
I would assume --prefix=/usr is needed there
- make - sudo make install
With rpm I would rather try to make a local updated package and then update the version on the system.
