WiX itself is open source, but it has closed source dependencies, so
it is of no use. That's why we're still using NSIS, despite all its
failings.
Do you remember what the closed source dependencies are?
Other Open Source projects are producing MSI's (ie 7-zip), so it's
something we should follow up. :)
