Did you fix this in the end?
It matter a lot which version of rpcgen you are using. Currently we
only recommend using rpcgen that comes with glibc. This version of
rpcgen has its own problems, but not as many as affect other versions
of rpcgen.

software inside the virtual machine. Supports Linux and Windows.

starting from the libvirt root directory>
cd qemud
rpcgen -c remote_protocol.x
cd ..
make -C qemud remote_protocol.c
make clean
make
